Our mission is to provide high quality, nature-based, child led experiences to children every day; to develop trusting, nurturing relationships with children, staff, and parents that resemble a “village” or “tribe”, a school family. We purposefully reach out into our surrounding community to create partnerships, deepen our center’s impact and presence, and advocate for meaningful early childhood education and lasting change at a local and state level.

Our Logo -
Upon closer inspection you will notice a couple of details easily missed but very significant. Our logo consists of forest animals wrapping up their babies close to their heart. The fox is a symbol of intelligence in the Celtic realm, as the Celts believed the fox to be a guide, and was honored for its wisdom. The deer is a sacred animal in many Native American tribes, and is known for its beauty. The turtle references patience in modern Western culture.

Our Values -
At Pitter Patter Preschool and Child Care Center, we embrace the NAEYC Code of Ethics, the Cultural Competency Statement and our “Unwritten Rules”. It is an expectation that all staff know these and put them into practice at work every day. These are also posted around our building for frequent review, topics of discussion on Staff Training Days annually, and celebrated always as part of who we are.
